Map of Ottoman Empire administrative districts
This map shows the administrative districts of the Ottoman Empire in the Middle East. Note that to the West of the Vilayet of Syria (Suriye in Turkish) along the the Mediterranean Sea Shore (North to South) there are four Sanjaks:
- Beirut
- Acre
- Balqa (Nablus)
- Jerusalem
The word Palestine does not appear on the map.
